It was clearly the year of population health. Risk based contracting is accelerating and our presentations and meeting schedule were packed with healthcare organizations ready to invest in solutions that make population health actionable like ours.

Many other vendors claimed similar capabilities, and we were pressed to explain how our solution differed. Luckily it clearly does. Attendees noted our use of real-time EHR data, built in natural language processing, ability to train our models to their unique dataset and demographics, and our academic research publications as clear differentiators. After visiting a number of similar vendors, one attendee summed it up saying “No one is offering predictive models as sophisticated as this.”

Predictive Analytics: A Foundation for Care Management

St. Joseph Healthcare spoke to an estimated crowd of 600 people on Monday. RNs Jess Taylor and Amber Sloat walked attendees through their care management process and how our predictive analytics help them reduce readmissions, ED visits, cost per person and more. Be sure to check the HIMSS Learning Center for a recording.

Predictive Analytics for Value-Based Care

CEO Eric Widen also spoke to a packed crowd near our booth in the Population Care Management theater. It was standing room only and appeared to be the best attended session at this theater! Attendees were keenly interested in our advanced machine learning and NLP processes and many visited us at our booth afterwards.
